10 minutes of nothing

When was the last time that you did absolutely nothing? And nothing doesn’t mean checking Facebook or email, watching telly, reading a good book. Nothing means nothing.

If we’ve been on our feet all day – we rest our legs. If we’ve been carrying heavy shopping or luggage – we rest our arms. But when do we rest our minds? And we use them constantly.

I challenge you to do 10 minutes of nothing.

Just relaxing, resting, recharging your batteries and giving your mind a break. As thoughts enter your head, as they will, just let them go and bring your awareness back to your body. Focus on your breathing. Focus on feeling, not on thinking. And give yourself 10 minutes of absolutely nothing.

I guarantee it will make you feel better.
